Our Work in Ukraine

During the second week of Russia’s attack on Ukraine, Dr. Duehrssen had the distinct impression that there was a way to help the people of Ukraine. Through God’s direction and blessing, he connected with the directors of Angelia Clinic within three days of that first impression. Dr. Yury and Dr. Serhii earnestly welcomed him to come and assist them. Four days later, a team of physicians, nurses, paramedics & EMTs ~ a total of nine professionals arrived in Ukraine with 20 trunks of urgently needed medicines and supplies. With the help of several displaced Ukrainians eager to be of assistance, many of those supplies were compiled by the team to create 100 tactical first aid kits for Territory Defense Units.  These freshly drafted, untrained men ~ aged 18 to 60 ~ were expected at any moment to be called to the front line. Each was given a kit at the conclusion of their full day of tactical first aid and military evasion training by the Radical Rescue team.

The remaining abundance of medicines and supplies were given to Dr. Serhii, Medical Director of Angelia Clinic. Under Dr. Serhii’s coordination, Radical Rescue’s team conducted mobile medical clinics for displaced Ukrainians who had hastily fled from their homes in bombed communities and gratefully found refuge in churches, schools, youth camps and medical clinics hundreds of miles away. Each day the team traveled to a different refugee encampment to provide medical care and supply medications to these people who were unable to travel to a doctor for their medical needs.
